Reykjavik, 8/12: Hallgrímskikja Church & Leifur Eiríksson

Sat in front of the church was a statue presented to Iceland by the United States, commemorating Leifur Eiríksson (Leif the Lucky) who is now credited as being the first European to set foot on North America. In this picture you can see him, and the modern spire of the church itself.
